Kinesis UK Haigh Hall Super Cross | Seniors

Sunday was day 2 of the Kinesis Haigh Hall Super Cross in Wigan. The course was a scenic one overlooking the historic hall, weaving though woodlands and challenging the riders with steep climbs and gravelly descents. A showpiece for the crowd was a specially constructed bridge, tempting riders to throw in jumps and whips to please the spectators.

After a busy day of NWCCA league racing on the Saturday, some brave souls decided that one day of racing wasn’t enough and returned for more. These included day 1’s Men’s Senior race winner Giles Drake (Leisure Lakes, who repeated the feat on Sunday. His closest competitor was first year veteran Paul Oldham (Hope Factory Racing), who eschewed the V40 race to mix it with the seniors. Rounding out the podium was another veteran, Nicholas Craig of Scott Racing, with Isaac Peatfield the first junior home in 5th.
